DSP2: Digitalisation of underwriting and scoring processes scoring and granting of consumer credit
Context
N°1 in retail financing in France and Europe, Société Financière Spécialisée wishes to investigate the opportunities for digitizing the underwriting, scoring and granting of consumer credit, linked to the implementation of DSP2. Under DSP2, European banks are required to open their customers' current account data via API.
Objective
VERTONE was asked to identify opportunities, study their feasibility and launch pilot projects with European subsidiaries.
VERTONE contribution
Study of specificities linked to national transpositions of DSP2 or national particularities, in terms of digital identity, underwriting, scoring or granting consumer credit. Analysis of the pathways and value propositions of existing instant credit initiatives. Analysis of the content of bank statements in various European countries to qualify the feasibility of a new scoring system based primarily on a prospect's banking data. Identification and evaluation of possible technological partners in each of the countries concerned. Initiated negotiations with 3 such partners in Germany, Spain and France. Development of recommendations and a roadmap for all countries in the region. Launch of 3 pilots (Germany, Spain, Portugal) on different customer paths.
