Feasibility study for an advanced imaging network in the Hauts de France region
Context
The client, a public investment fund, and its two partners, the regional university hospital and a health insurance company, were considering whether to support a medical imaging project. The project involves a regional platform of digital and physical services, based on a high-performance technology currently being acquired (7T MRI) and on a network of other public and private institutions with their own MRI.
The aim of this platform is to develop and improve care in numerous therapeutic fields using the 2ndnd opinion, to develop and conduct clinical and pre-clinical research projects, and to contribute to continuing education and academic training.
Objective
VERTONE was first asked to analyze the economic and technical feasibility of the project in all its dimensions, to define the principles and modalities of implementation and governance on a regional scale, and finally to build a pre-operational roadmap justifying an investment on the part of the fund and its partners.
VERTONE contribution
- Target scoping (review of previous work)
- Analysis of current offer (regional and local)
- Benchmark similar projects in France and abroad
- Development of business models for exploiting and adding value to the target platform's products and services
- Defining the business model and public/private governance
- Definition of the pre-operational roadmap
- Presentation to key regional players (ARS)
