Ageing well: rethinking the organization of care and support

Vertone supports healthcare establishments, nursing homes, local authorities and the private sector in their projects related to the aging of the population.

We work with them to build sustainable, humane and innovative strategies for the well-being of their patients, with the aim of finding the economic keys to a model that combines efficiency and quality of service.

Demographic ageing, a systemic challenge for healthcare and medico-social players

The rapid ageing of the population is profoundly transforming the balance of the healthcare and medical-social systems. Longer life expectancy is accompanied by more complex care pathways, increasing pressure on facilities, and heightened expectations in terms of prevention, quality of life and home care.

Faced with these challenges, the players involved need to adapt their organizations, services, tools and coordination. This means rethinking care paths, streamlining interfaces, and better integrating family caregivers.

Vertone supports healthcare establishments, nursing homes, local authorities and care networks in this transformation, by combining strategic vision, pragmatic innovation and local roots.

The aim is to make ageing well a reality for everyone, through sustainable, inclusive, person-centred paths.

Our solutions to make ageing well a collective and sustainable project

To promote the autonomy of the elderly, it is essential to design healthcare and medico-social pathways centered on their real needs. Our consultancy firm assists players in the sector in mapping care pathways, identifying breaking points, and streamlining interfaces between the city, hospitals and nursing homes.

We set up home support systems, strengthen the role of caregivers, and facilitate coordination between professionals. By listening to users and their families, we co-construct concrete solutions to improve quality of life, prevent loss of autonomy and guarantee ongoing care. This approach enables us to better anticipate needs, reduce avoidable hospitalizations, and strengthen the links between the various players in the care chain.

The EHPAD of tomorrow must be both a place for care and a place for living. We support facilities in their transformation, working on facility projects, modular services, adapting human resources and upgrading staff skills.

Our approach also integrates new governance logics, more participative and focused on residents' needs. By emphasizing the human, relational and medical dimensions, we help nursing homes enhance their attractiveness, improve residents' quality of life, and better meet families' expectations. This transformation is part of an overall drive to modernize the medico-social sector, with appropriate management tools and the mobilization of teams around a common project.

Anticipating the needs of the aging population is a major challenge for local authorities. We support healthcare professionals in deploying targeted prevention programs in areas such as nutrition, physical activity, the fight against isolation and mental health. Drawing on population data, we structure actions tailored to local realities, and lead Territorial Professional Health Communities (CPTS).

We promote partnerships between local authorities, associations and professionals to create a collective dynamic around "better aging". This localized approach strengthens the impact of prevention initiatives, reduces health inequalities, and effectively mobilizes local resources. The aim is to move from a curative approach to a proactive one, with a view to improving the health of senior citizens over the long term.

The digital transformation of the senior sector must be seen as a lever for autonomy, not as a constraint. We support establishments and medico-social players in deploying shared information systems, alert tools for caregivers, and connected objects to support homecare.

Our approach favors technology that is inclusive, accessible and centered on the human link. We train teams in digital uses, facilitate the appropriation of tools, and ensure that digital technology never replaces the care relationship. This rational digitalization strengthens coordination, improves the traceability of care paths, and secures data while respecting the specific needs of the elderly.

The aging of the population is a major societal challenge, which must be integrated into the CSR strategies of companies in the healthcare sector, mutual insurance companies, insurance companies and public bodies. We support these organizations in defining inclusive, intergenerational and accessible policies, in line with their social missions. Integrating the demographic transition into CSR enables us to strengthen our societal impact, enhance the value of our commitments to "ageing well", and meet the growing expectations of citizens.

This approach can include concrete actions: accessibility of services, support for caregivers, partnerships with the medical-social sector, or social innovation. By making ageing a meaningful opportunity, companies reinforce their legitimacy and responsibility.
